Welcome to Wayne's Knowledge Base, a very eclectic and mostly subjective collection of bits and pieces of information on a range of topics including::
I got interested in Family History a few years ago, and in the process I developed a bit of code for generating circular family trees that I think a lot of people might find interesting.
In 2008 I set up the Local Government and Municipal Knowledge Base, and the hosting service Wikidot served me very well over most of that time, but in recent times I've been having a fair bit of trouble with spammers and the site has never been particularly mobile friendly, so I have decided it is time to move it to a new home. Here. It will take me a while to move everything across, but I reckon I should have most of it moved by the end of 2022.
I have a very musical family. My wife plays and teaches piano, my daughter plays piano & cello, and my son plays bass. I however couldn't play an instrument or sing in tune to save my life. I do however like music, and I like finding new music, and that sent me down the rabbit hole of building my own personal music player/radio station - Radio Wayne.
Over the years I have spent far too much time trying to perfect a program for generating Random Worlds. I have gotten pretty close a few times, but never quite managed to hit the nail on the head.
I have been trying to learn to speak Russian for almost 20 years with very little success, but I thought I's share what I have learnt anyway.
